History
of Nick's
Nick Giannaris and wife Tina know the the two
most important ingredients to a successful restaurant - the
quality of the food and outstanding service - and that's exactly
what they have given their customers for the nearly forty
years that they have been in business.
The Airport Inn's phenomenal growth attests to Nick's reputation
for serving the best of everything...choice meats, scrumptious
seafood, farm-fresh vegetables, homemade breads, delectable
desserts and vintage wines and spirits...in the most exemplary
way. Faithful customers from all over the tri-state area keep
coming back to Nick's airport Inn for those very reasons -
again and again. They know they can always depend on Nick's
for superb dining and excellent care on any occasion, from
special family celebrations to casual Friday night suppers.
In 1961 Nick & Tina purchased the Inn, located adjacent
to the airport, as a combination type eatery with bar. Staffed
by a single waitress, the one-room lunchonette also functioned
as a dance hall and poolroom facility. Over the years, the
restaurant expanded to accomodate Nick's loyal patronage and
now employs over sixty people.
The Giannaris' family tradition of serving as gracious hosts
to their guests continues. In fact, Nick & son Paul often
greet patrons and show them to their tables. Nick's standard
for creating the ultimate dining experience at the restaurant
is best summed up by his own words: "Having people eat here
is like inviting them into my home. That's why we named it
Nick's Airport Inn. This our home."
